BSU Scholarship Pageants:

BSU sponsors two annual scholarship pageants, one in the fall for men (Essence of A Man) and the other in the spring for women (Miss Black EIU). Both pageants have strong histories and challenge participants to compete in several categories including a talent portion and creative expression.
Academic Affairs Scholarships:

The Renaissance Scholarship
2012-2013 Academic Affairs Chairwoman, Alasia Mitchell, developed the Renaissance Scholarship. It was respectfully designed to recognize a member of Black Student Union for their prodigious involvement and academic achievement throughout the year. The scholarship recipient shall be awarded $250.
